What if solving a 100 year conflict could be as simple as getting 1% of a population Meditating?
Evidence has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that once 1% of a population is meditating there is a coherence effect that occurs in the whole region, which promotes peace, lowers violent conflict, and improves socio-economic metrics - this is called the “Super Radiance Effect”.
Why Israel?
The people of this region have been experiencing shock, terror, and lasting mental effects from the war that began on October 7th, 2023.
The cycle of conflict, destruction, and violence within this region has been going on for decades with no end in sight. The urgent need of the time is to begin taking steps for long-term and sustainable change - from the ground up.
World Peace begins with Individual Peace.
Meditation has the power to enact this change.
Our vision is to teach 1% of the population of Israel Vedic Meditation - 100,000 people.
This effort will help to heal trauma, restore a personal sense of peace and hope, and ultimately create a region wide coherence that promotes a sustainable and peaceful resolution to the conflict.
Evidence shows that meditation is a powerful tool to cope with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and stress-related symptoms.
Meditate For World Peace aims to make meditation widely available in conflict zones without the financial burden.
This is where your help is needed.
We are fundraising to bring international Master Teachers of Vedic Meditation to teach in Israel, and sponsor meditation courses starting in 2024.
Once a student learns to meditate in person over a 4 day course, they receive a lifetime of support with their practice; including a weekly group meditation and access to a global meditation community.
The cost of creating the project and sponsoring the meditation course amounts to USD $200 per person.
We need your support to help fund this project and bring it to life.
2024
- Raise funds and start up operations on the ground in Israel. Build our local outreach and partner network, Begin teaching students in Israel and bring in additional teachers to meet demand.
- Establish a local meditation center, ramp up operations with Vedic Meditation teachers on the ground in Tel Aviv, and make VM sponsorships accessible for hundreds & thousands more students.
2025 & Beyond - Building the local community, supporting training new Vedic Meditation teachers in Israel, continue with a lifetime of support for all meditators and continue fundraising for Phase 2 towards teaching 100,000 people - 1% of the population of Israel.
Through our world-wide community of existing meditators, our local partners, and grass roots supporters on the ground in Israel, we are reaching out to make Vedic Meditation available for all those who will benefit most from learning at this time.
The courses are organized in a 4-day format, where participants learn to meditate in-person over four consecutive days, 90 minutes each day.
This format of in-person learning has the highest success rate for students continuing to meditate on their own twice a day after the course. Once the 4-day course is complete, new meditators can join the local and worldwide community and have access to a lifetime of follow-up and support with their practice, which includes a weekly group meditation.
All costs are included in the initial sponsorship of a 4-day course for the meditator.
